There is a great hope for peace amid the ongoing military tension between India and Pakistan. Former US President Donald Trump has claimed that an immediate ceasefire has been agreed after a lengthy negotiation between the two countries mediated by the US. The special thing is that top sources of the Indian government have also confirmed Trump's claim.

In fact, Pakistan was frightened by the strict actions of the Indian Army in 'Operation Sindoor', and requested for mediation from many countries. In this episode, the US took the initiative and now this ceasefire agreement has come out. This development has once again raised hopes of speeding up the peace process in South Asia.

India and Pakistan agree on ceasefire

"After a long night's negotiations, mediated by the United States, I am pleased to announce that India and Pakistan have agreed to a full and immediate ceasefire. Congratulations to both countries. It is clear from Trump's statement that the US has once again made diplomatic intervention behind the scenes, which resulted in this historic agreement.

Indian government sources confirmed

High-level sources in the Indian government have confirmed this claim of Donald Trump. It was also reported that the talks were very serious and complex, but on the initiative of the US, the two countries decided to exercise restraint and stop firing with immediate effect.

Pakistan gave information

Pakistan's Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has also acknowledged the ceasefire with India by posting on X (formerly Twitter). He, however, did not express any regret over the failed attacks on India.
"Pakistan has always strived for peace and stability in the region without compromising its sovereignty and territorial integrity," Dar said.

Pakistan frightened by Operation Sindoor

According to sources, the 'Operation Sindoor' being run by the Indian Army had created panic in Pakistan. The operation carried out precision strikes on the terrorists' launchpads, communication towers and military bases, prompting Pakistan to seek international support.

Will this ceasefire be permanent?

It was unclear whether the truce would be permanent. There have been many ceasefire agreements between the two countries in the past, which could not last long. But this time, under international mediation and the influence of the US, it is expected that this step will strengthen the stability of South Asia.
